Privacy Policy
How GilaConn collects, uses, and protects information from the electricians, contractors, and visitors who connect with us across U.S. mission-critical projects.
Who we are
GilaConn is the operating brand of Gila Ventures Group LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("GilaConn," "we," "us," or "our"). We connect skilled electricians and field manpower with contractors building mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, and industrial electrical projects across the United States.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We are the party responsible for the personal information described here.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information we collect when you:
- Visit or interact with our website and any associated pages.
- Submit a contact, intake, or "build your profile" application form.
- Apply to work with us as an electrician or field worker, including by sending a résumé/CV, work history, certifications, or licenses.
- Reach out as a contractor or client to request manpower support for a project.
- Communicate with us by email, phone, or text.
Some of our forms include a consent checkbox. By checking it and submitting the form, you opt in to be contacted by GilaConn — see Section 04 for what that consent covers and how to withdraw it.
GilaConn operates within the United States, and our services are intended for individuals and businesses located in the U.S. This policy is written to align with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information collected automatically as you use the site, and information from limited third-party sources.
Information you provide
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, email address, phone number, mailing or job-site location. |
| Worker / applicant data | Résumé or CV, work history, trade classification, skills, certifications and licenses, union status, references, availability, pay expectations, willingness to travel, and other details you choose to share when applying. |
| Contractor / client data | Company name, role, project location and scope, manpower needs, timelines, and billing or point-of-contact information. |
| Communications | Messages, form submissions, and records of correspondence with our team. |
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect:
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and time spent.
- Cookies & similar technologies — identifiers used to keep the site working, measure performance, and understand traffic (see Section 05).
Information from third parties
We may receive information from referrals, job boards, our application provider (Airtable), or social and advertising platforms (such as Google and Meta) when you interact with our content or apply through those channels.
Sensitive information. We ask that you do not send government-issued ID numbers (such as Social Security numbers), driver's-license numbers, banking details, or background-check results through website forms or email. If onboarding requires that information, we will collect it later through a secure channel.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Match electricians and field workers with contractor projects and staffing needs.
- Review applications, evaluate fit, and coordinate placement, scheduling, and onboarding.
- Respond to inquiries from workers, contractors, and clients.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
- Measure site performance and understand how people find and use us.
- Send service messages and, where permitted, relevant opportunities or updates (you can opt out at any time).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
Your consent when you submit a form (opt-in)
When you check the consent box on one of our forms and submit it, you are giving GilaConn express opt-in consent to contact you using the information you provided. Specifically:
- What you agree to — we may contact you by email, phone call, and SMS/text message about your application, available crews and projects, scheduling, onboarding, and related opportunities.
- Text messaging — message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
- Email — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
- Not a condition — your consent to marketing or promotional messages is not a condition of being placed on a crew, applying, or using our services. We will only send the service messages needed to coordinate your placement.
- Withdraw anytime — you can withdraw consent by replying STOP, using an unsubscribe link, or contacting us (Section 14). Withdrawing consent does not affect contact we already sent.
We will not add you to marketing or text lists unless you opt in. We rely on consent you give directly — we do not act on consent claimed on your behalf by any third party.
Cookies & tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential — required for the site to function and load correctly.
- Analytics — services such as Google Analytics help us understand traffic and improve the experience.
- Advertising & measurement — tools such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags help us measure campaigns and reach relevant audiences.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain analytics and advertising tracking. We honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- Contractors & clients — when you apply to work with us, we share relevant worker information (such as your résumé, qualifications, and availability) with contractors and clients for the purpose of placement.
- Service providers — vendors who host our site, process applications (such as Airtable), send communications, or provide analytics, acting on our instructions.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of GilaConn, our workers, clients, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Some advertising and analytics technologies (such as the Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags) may be considered "selling" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state laws. You can opt out — see Sections 09 and 10.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — to provide our services, maintain applicant and project records, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Applicant records may be retained so we can consider you for future opportunities unless you ask us to remove them.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive identifiers through unsecured forms or email.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws may give you the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and certain profiling.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you the rights described in Section 09, including the rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, plus the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of information described in Section 03 and disclosed them to service providers and contractors/clients for the purposes described in Section 06. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money.
To opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising, you can enable the Global Privacy Control in your browser or contact us directly. To submit a California rights request, use the contact details in Section 14.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults working in or hiring for the electrical trades. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Our site may link to or embed third-party services, job boards, or social platforms that we do not control (for example, our Airtable application form). This policy does not apply to those services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you interact with.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
